Update Day 15: You can name the new card! Plus, My favorite two cards

We hit Stretch Goal #1 and that means one of YOU will choose the name of the new card I am adding to the deck. See details in the video and below.  Also, Stretch goal #2 is at $20,000 and that means 2, d10 counter dice for all orders (Wizard Duel themed).  Check out the video where I share more cards from our sample print, see how good they are looking!

Step 2 - We will pick a lucky winner (will email on Friday, 9/16)

Step 3 - The winner will get a preview of the draft art, see the final card before anyone AND choose the name of the card!

$20,000 Stretch goal

We are almost there - we have a few great samples of Wizard Duel themed d10 dice and I hope we hit this goal so I can share them with everyone who orders.

Deck Samples are in!

Final run samples are in from our factory and we have been playing with them. They feel great at 310 gsm and a linen, casino quality feel.  The colors are vibrant and I am so happy with the artwork - thank you to our two awesome artists!

My favorite card is TimeTravel, check it out in the video. It is accessed through the Lock Deck and allows you to play the same card you played the prior turn...a great follow up to SuperCharge and then in two turns you have gained 6 charges...that is a lot of power, almost enough to use SuperNova!

My favorite art by far is Beam.  This is so much better than I ever could have imagined (compare it to my original one I did myself, haha).

Update Day 13: Samples are in!

We are almost to the next stretch goal of $20,000 and have over 400 backers!

Check out our first look at the samples of the deck (we are really happy with them) and also hear why I am in Las Vegas (#WizardDuelGoes2Vegas).

First Samples

We just received the sample print from the factory and they look great!  I am really proud of how they look and the cards feel great as well.  Casino quality cards at 310 gsm and linen feel...the artwork looks so good!  This means once we close the Kickstarter we will place the order and be able to get them to you ASAP - early November is our goal.

Wizard Duel goes to Las Vegas

I spent the last part of the week at Resorts World in Las Vegas at the RSA conference.  I got to meet over 100 retail business owners and tell them about Wizard Duel.  Wizard Duel had a booth and we showcased the sample deck PLUS my oversized version of the cards.  People were encouraging and we even had some new backers from there!  Thank you to Jim McMahon and the RSA for letting me have a booth at SK8 Expo 2022!

Stretch Goal Update

We are going to be sending out a survey (Google Form) so backers can opt in to be on the list to name the new card, from our $15K stretch goal.  Our artist is making the first draft of the card and I am excited to share its power with you all in an upcoming update.

1st Stretch Goal Met! New card name picked by you!

Wow, another milestone today - we hit the first stretch goal of $15,000! When I heard that I leaped into the air!  Thank you Backers!  

For this stretch goal - I have a new card in development and one of my Backers is going to be able to help name the card, which will be included in the game.  More on the detail of the card and how you'll help me decide the name coming soon.

Here are some upcoming activities for us as we have 3 more weeks!

Coming up

• $20,000 stretch goal - If we hit this, I'll be sending a pair of counter dice, Wizard Duel themed, along with each order.  We have a few versions we are vetting currently, I will share images as we get closer (fingers crossed).
• Sample run of the new designs - the sample run of the designs is on its way.   I am excited to see how all the new colors and art look in person.
•  Wizard Duel goes to Vegas - I am going to be at a convention in Las Vegas on Thursday with a Wizard Duel table. I will share more on how this goes trying to connect with retailers.
